Art beCAUSE Foundation Continues to Fund Research Investigating Environmental Causes of Breast Cancer

Boston, MA (PRWEB) July 13, 2007 -- The Art beCAUSE Foundation Board has developed a "Seed the Scientist" Program to supply seed money to support research by those investigating environmental etiologies of breast cancer. Applications should be accomplished in research relating to this area. The grant should summarize previous work, goals for further research, and how this seed grant would lead to subsequent funding to further their research efforts. Applicants will agree to attend the Art beCAUSE annual fund-raising dinner, to be held on October 24, 2007 at the Artists for Humanity Epi Center in Boston, Massachusetts to accept the award and speak briefly about how the award will help in the research project.

Title: The 2007 Art beCAUSE Award elucidating the Environmental Etiologies of Breast Cancer

Amount of Grant: $12,500. For direct costs only.

Term of Grant: One year with extension option

Qualifications: M.D.; PhD.; M.D. /PhD or MPH

Length of Grant Application: Up to 10 pages maximum excluding references. Please submit 7 (Seven) copies. May be sent electronically to ellie@artbecause.org

Due Date: August 15, 2007

Date of Decision: September 15, 2007

Date of Award: October 24, 2007
